What challenges do the revised standards pose for door manufacturers? What’s important for the CE marking of gates? What does the classification of burglar-resistant doors mean? What does Industry 4.0 bring to the door industry? These are just a few of the topics of the Tor Forum at R+T digital on 24 February 2021, which runs from 9:00 AM until probably 11:30 PM. In short presentations, experts from BVT – Verband Tore, BAS.T Bundesverband Antriebs- und Steuerungstechnik.Tore and ift Rosenheim dealt with current challenges and developments in the industry. After each lecture there are approx. 5 minutes available for questions and answers, so that the online audience can also participate in the event.

Classic preparation

The lead in the planning of the Tor Forum lies with the BVT – Verband Tore, which is a nationwide association of gate and barrier manufacturers and suppliers to the gate industry. Emerging from the Metal Rolling Gate Association, which was re-established in 1947, it serves around 170 predominantly family-run companies from the industrial SME sector. Internationally active industrial groups with their German subsidiaries and branches as well as members from abroad complete the profile of the association. “Even though this time the event is being held as a hybrid event, the preparations are just as intensive as at the real R+T”, says BVT Managing Director Kai-Uwe Grögor.

Interesting contents

The Tor Forum offers interesting content for visitors with 9 live lectures and two more on-demand. The contributions will be recorded and later made available on the R+T digital platform for streaming until R+T 2022.
